Default Hitoko's Items

[For Renchishin Hitoko]
The Dragon Emperor's

Crown of Talons

Crafted from the fragments of Minoru’s Zan’ei Toujin—a lightning bolt black blade bestowed onto him by Assate—with capabilities salvaged by Sunagakure’s finest Mikos and blacksmiths, arrives an item retooled and fashioned as jewelry to be worn by Renchishin Hitoko, by order of Arisugawa Enzan. The Dragon Emperor’s Crown of Talons is a series of dreadlock cuffs, or miniature rings, designed to be worn in the user’s hair. They are dreadlock-jewelry that carry mystical properties that act as a catalyst that allows the wielder to perform Ninjutsu with the absence of handseals, such as Assate’s Apostles did with their staves as their medium.

The crown of talons resonates with The Gate of Opening (Kai-Mon), which is often considered the body’s Crown chakra point.

Guillotine Gauntlet

Of the Dragon Emperor

Legend has it that Owatatsumi “Ryujin” Sanjin, the Dragon Emperor, was a deity whose undersea palace—Ryugu-jo—was protected by the Oka Shichizuten Ryuu’nou, seven celestial dragon guards who pulled the Emperor’s divine chariots. His initial line of defense, once said to have been used by an Empress to conquer many nations, were a pair of magical gems he used to control the tide.

This item, carried for execution and beheading purposes, is said to be made from one of the two gems: Kanju—the (Tide-)Ebbing Jewel.

One of a pair, the Guillotine Gauntlet of the Dragon Emperor is an ancient glove adorned by spiraling seas of cloud and coiling dragons swimming through its fixture, crafted by an intricate network of chainmail and fine metals while bolstering an almost alchemic array of seal inscriptions used to help the wielder channel chakra right into the gauntlet itself. As such, the mystical properties of the glove serves as a catalyst for The House of Legends: Dragons summoning swap list, for Ryujin commanded his entourage of guards with an iron fist.

Each component of the glove is a reflection of a summon

Finger 2 / Middle: Seiryu
Finger 3 / Ring: Kuzuryushin
Finger 4 / Pinky: Shinryu
Finger 5 / Thumb: Goko
Palm: Toyotama-hime
Back of Gauntlet: Zennyo Ryuo
And a single Haiku is inscribed on the gauntlet:

Dragons play whirlwind
Among the clouds meet and rain
Unite earth and sky

A Blade that Doesn't Cut
[Seiryu Sakabato]
Blue Dragon Reverse Blade Sword

"Reign over the Frosted Heavens."

A weapon forged by The Twilight Blacksmith (written on the neck of the steel) and blessed by Lady Chiyoko, a reibai Miko of the Snow Country, the Seiryu Sakabato is a reverse-blade sword crafted in homage to the legendary blacksmith Kotani Yasutoshi and his final weapon: Hyougetsujin, the Ice Moon Blade. The Seiryu’s design is a simple Wakizashi, except the sharp end is on the opposite side of the normal curvature, making the sword itself ill fit for killing and a staple for pacifist who have no choice but to defend themselves—or others around them. With a rare recreation of hamon patterns (a visual effect crafted on the blade after the hardening process) on both sides of the sword, it is hard for onlookers to differentiate the cutting edge from afar, or even up close.

As the Seiryu Sakabato is modeled after a sword said to have been infused by winter moonlight and was capable of producing a chill that many are unable to withstand, the cold steel of the sword often emits a subtle cool steam from its frame when unsheathed. This is, due in part, by the mystical properties forged into the sword. As such, when triggered by the user’s chakra, the atmosphere around the steel can be frozen to allow second-degree frostbite upon the surface of whatever it makes contact with, and also acts as a catalyst for Jutsu based in Ice Release, or the Hyousetsu Bloodline.

The Sakabato also houses duo ornate bronze guards running parallel to one another; designed like the prongs of Sais to capture and disarm weapons that fall between them. The scabbard is black with gray highlights, made of traditional lacquered wood lined by steel, with a bronze dragon ornament at its end. The last feature of this sword set is a deep indigo sageo, which is a tassel or cord often used to tie the Wakizashi to the owner’s waist, or in some cases, their back.

As customed in the fashion of a holy blade, Hyousetsu Echizen has left room to install other chakra triggers into the sword's hilt for future upgrades. Inscribed on the steel of the Wakizashi is a seal inscription used to help the owner channel their chakra through the blade, which is a poem Kotani Yasutoshi wrote for his family, reading:

Slashing myself,
I have trained countless blades
My son reviles, but for my grandson,
I bleed
